Glamis is a living, breathing monument to Scottish hospitality; a place of enjoyment, reflection, laughter and wonder for all. The castle has witnessed more than 600 years of history and we take great delight in sharing the many stories, secrets and intriguing tales that surround it.As well as tours of the castle and garden visits we offer a full programme of events throughout the year.
The historical roots of Glamis by no means should suggest that the Castle has not remained fashionable; additions, alterations and reconstructions have all taken place in order to satisfy the aspirations of the Strathmore family.
There’s always lots to see and do at Glamis be it in the castle, the gardens or the expansive grounds. The passing seasons mean that you can enjoy a different experience each time you visit and we have a range of special events arranged to celebrate the changes in the Castle’s surroundings. From an Easter Day Out, to summer Highland Games and music festivals through to Victorian Christmas, there’s always a reason to come back to visit us.
