Gifts that Give Twice - Socially Conscious Wedding Favors

What's so unique about the Appreciate Network? It is a national design & gift social enterprise that donates 100% of its proceeds to fund programs for homeless youth. But that isn't the only thing that is catching the attention of American brides, corporations and the press. The company's beautiful gift baskets and wedding favors are designed by homeless youth collaborating with professional designers!

The results - welcome gift baskets, wedding favors, floral centerpieces and stationery - have been winning rave reviews. The press is also catching on - Appreciate designs have been featured on ABC News and in publications such as The New York Times, Health, Yoga Journal and Organic Style.

The Appreciate Network is operated by the Reciprocity Foundation, a full service nonprofit design and gift enterprise that pairs professional designers with creative homeless youth to achieve extraordinary results for weddings and other events. Started by Taz Tagore and Adam Bucko, the Reciprocity Foundation helps kids start career-track jobs and secure college admission to pursue their creative talents.

Custom Designed goody bags and basketsReciprocity.com designs stationery, invitations and programs, as well as centerpieces, give-aways, and favors. At www.reciprocityfoundation.org, you can see some of their distinctive creations, including favors that incorporate dried flowers, ribbons and candles, elegant tins and designed labels. They do custom-designed gift and goody bags and baskets, often with their signature gift nests and such things as coffee, tea, chocolate, gourmet natural foods and wellness products, beers and wines. Their gifts and favors include custom tags with the couple's (or client's) personal stories and messages.

The Appreciate Network is growing rapidly - this year, the company tripled its selection of gift baskets and is gearing up for a stellar wedding season. "Brides love our designs, our mission and the fact that they receive a tax write-off for a portion of their purchase! It's a win-win-win scenario that ultimately benefits wedding guests, the bride & groom, and the homeless youth in our program," says Tagore.

A couple's taste and style are reflected in every aspect of their wedding, from their "save-the-date" notices to the parting gifts that family and friends will take home with them. The tone and mood of a wedding are also determined in part by the design elements a couple chooses. Reciprocity.com brings together style and substance, allowing a couple to convey even more about themselves and our place in this world, through the unique beauty of their celebration.
