Lisa Light gives her top tips on designing a destination wedding in Ceci Style, the new, fashion-forward, online magazine produced by Ceci New York. Table top designs were also featured, including one by Lisa Light. The designs were created as a challege to the wedding planners who attended a Bridal Scouting Trip planned by Lisa Light of Destination Bride. The trip took place in the Guanacaste Region of Costa Rica at the Villa Vista Preciosa.

Tips for Planning a Wedding in Costa Rica

1. Make sure you plan your wedding during the dry season—December through April.  If you go in September or October, chances are you’ll have a soggy wedding; rain can be very heavy during the  wet, or “green” season.

2. Plan on orchids...it would be a shame not to incorporate them since they are so unique to the area. Another gorgeous flower in Costa Rica is the Alamanda, which I have seen in yellow and purple.

Absolutely no rain.” for their wedding day. Indeed, there had been no rain for 10 hot August days previous to the 13th, with temperatures climbing each day into the humid 80’s.
