Hudson Valley is a Quintessential New England Setting

Adam Toll and Malinda Kennedy are both from the South, and they seemed to bring a bright, hot Atlanta day with them for their wedding at Side Hill Farm, in East Chatham, New York, June 25th, 2005. Sunflower yellows and French blues were the colors of the day, to match the sun and sky, and to form the backdrop of Southern heat mixed with New England charm.

Toll/Kennedy Wedding

Friday night's rehearsal dinner was a country cookout and pig roast at the Ghent Sportsmen's Association in Ghent, New York. The setting and evening was ideal: warm and clear, with lots of toasts, music, strawberries, fireflies, and kids running around having a great time.

The wedding and reception location, Side Hill Farm, is the gracious country home of Adam's parents, Kay and Maynard Toll. Reminiscent of a Currier & Ives painting, it provided a stately, quintessentially New England backdrop. The wedding procession included a very beautiful and touching parade of the flower girls and boys preceding the Bride up the aisle, to the melody of March of the Siamese Children.

You could not beat the heat of the reception, the blazing orange and reds of the callas and tulips, the sounds of Dixieland Jazz and champagne corks popping. There was dancing and merriment late into the night, as music and laughter mingled finally mingled with a cool at Side Hill Farm.
