Clark's Cove Farm & Inn, MaineIn mid-coastal Maine, nestled on the Bristol Peninsula, is a 54-acre farm estate with a breathtaking, panoramic view of rolling meadows, and apple orchards. Clark’s Cove Farm & Inn is a wonderful retreat — from the city, or whatever allergy to modern life you may be experiencing — with gardens, trails, wooded hills, 700 feet of waterfront, and views far and wide. The classic English garden that fronts the main house leads through trees, trails, and fieldstone walls, to the cove, a tree lined lake inhabited by beavers and loons. There’s a canoe dock coveside, if you want to grab a couple of paddles and see what peaceful means. There’s a hammock there, too, in case your definition of peaceful does not include rippling the water. Clark’s Cove has earned a wonderful reputation, not only as one of the most picturesque inns in the Northeast, but also as a wedding, reception, and special events site. The folks at Clark’s Cove pride themselves on providing a fully-customized celebration, “an experience that exceeds all expectations.”? Ceremony and reception options include the beautifully refurbished 1800’s barn (which accommodates 120 and includes an expansive deck overlooking the orchard), a newly constructed chapel in the woods, as well as such natural settings as lovely, manicured lawns, and garden sites surrounded by stone walls, waterside locations either on the lake or pond, and orchard sites, either in Spring when the trees are in full bloom, or in the Fall, when they are laden with ripe fruit. The deck is ideal for live music and dancing, and a fully appointed, commercial dream kitchen is available on site. Two beautifully appointed , air-conditioned apartments, also complete with orchard and Cove views, are included in the property rental for two nights. Available June through October. Rates are from $6,000-8,000, depending on the number of guests and the number of events being held on the site. For more information call (518)392-7766.
