A Quebec destination wedding - simply marveilleuse! Many couples who choose a destination wedding in Quebec are attracted to the international flair of "La Belle Province" and its major cities, Montreal and Quebec City. Rich in old-world charm and cosmopolitan style, each offers visitors a decidedly European atmosphere. Montreal, the 2nd largest French-speaking city in the world, is actually an island located in the mighty St. Lawrence River.

Couples can enjoy a horse-and-carriage ride through the cobblestone streets of Vieux Port, visiting the quaint French restaurants and shops that line the old avenues. The delightful Quebec City is regarded as the cradle of French civilization in North America. A busy seaport, the capital city is a cultural hotspot, replete with fine dining, smart cafes and nightclubs. What's more, history buffs and wedding parties will enjoy the countless opportunities to explore this citadel city, famed for its legendary ramparts overlooking a maze of narrow city streets.

It is situated on the Duchesnay Station Touristique, which is a cross country ski lodge that overlooks the pristine Lac Saint-Joseph.

It flurried from the time I arrived until the moment I left, which made the old European style homes and narrow streets, the arches of the city wall and the ice skating rinks ever so magical.

I had been invited to Quebec City to promote my book, and the Quebec venues in my book: the Ice Hotel and the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac. I was excited to see the city in the winter, but admittedly a little nervous about doing live TV interviews in French!
